Emart celebrates 12th anniversary with Joyful Carnival comprising events, activities from Nov 3-12
MIRI: Emart Group of Companies ( Emart) is holding a 10- day Joyful Carnival from Nov 3 to 12 to celebrate its 12th anniversary.
During this period, especially at Emat Riam One Stop Shopping Mall ( Emart Riam) here, there will be lots of events and activities at the mall for visitors in such as Joyful Mum’s Recipe, Pick & Match, Emart Race, Kids Zumba Dance, Treasure Chest Supermarket Challenge, Kids Colouring Contest, Mini Trunk Sale and more.
“We hope everyone can feel joyful while going about their daily routine including shopping for groceries so we named it Joyful Carnival,” said senior marketing and promotion executive of Emart Riam, Wilson Wong.
The Joyful Carnival covers all four complexes in two cities - Emart Batu Kawa, Emart Matang, Emart Tudan and Emart Riam.
Elaborating, he said similar to Amazing Race, Emart Race aims to provide healthy yet joyful activities for the young generation. The Joyful Mum’s Recipe for instance aims to promote healthy cooking within a tight budget, especially useful to young mums who are expected to come up with nutritious meals for their families.
Wong disclosed that the management of the mall would be working along with SCCS ( Sarawak Children Cancer Society) counterpart to be part of efforts for cancer sufferers.
“We shall start spreading the joy, not only during the carnival but anytime, anywhere, regardless of skin colour and age. As is our company’s vision, we want to create a joyful, peaceful and healthy society,” he said.
