Melaka-Manipal 20 years on top
MELAKA-Manipal Medical College celebrates its twenty years in Malaysia in 2017, and has become a ‘most-favoured’ institution for top draw medical education in and around Malaysia.
It was the third private medical school to be established in Malaysia and has, since its inception, delivered highly proficient medical professionals, to the Malaysian health system and all across the globe.
Melaka-Manipal embarked with its flagship MBBS in 1997 and then launched the exceedingly popular Dentistry degree (BDS)in 2009.
These programmes were followed by the pre-University level Foundation in Science(FiS) in 2012;all its programs are fully accredited.
Scholarships for the Foundation course are now being offered by Melaka-Manipal as it realizes that financial assistance for students at pre-University programs are virtually nonexistent. With very favourable terms and conditions for those applicants who wish subsequently to pursue their passion for medicine or dentistry, the scholarships will go a long way to alleviate the financial burden for parents.

Melaka-Manipal’s MBBS needs very little introduction as it has been ‘around’ since the late ‘90s.

The BDS programme, in its own right, is such a lure that its ‘seats’ are taken up a full eighteen months ahead of its intake, and if one wishes to enrol for this exceedingly popular dental surgery undergraduate program, the only way into it is via Melaka-Manipal’s homegrown FiS.
The FiS students are given first sniff in applying for BDS before external candidates are considered.
The Foundation in Science is also a program that has turned out to be hugely popular.
At its launch in 2012, MelakaManipal was the first to include medicine and dentistry subjects in its Foundation curriculum, this with the view of introducing students to the basics of subjects they would face in their eventual preferred degree programs, facilitating their settling down in the MBBS and BDS studies much faster.
