-

TAWAU: Deputy Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman is calling on all young entrepreneurs to think ‘outsidethe-box’ when upgrading their small enterprises and marketing their products in the local market or global market.

Tajuddin said the borderless world is a wide- open market and could become the best platform and opportunity for small entrepreneurs to promote and sell their fresh products or added-value products.

In the hope that they would not remain small entrepreneurs forever, he called upon them to think differently and upgrade the quality and durability of their products in order to be accepted by the global market. They should also comply with the relevant laws and make use of the opportunities afforded in the world market.

He said this to the media after officiating at a Youth Entrepreneurship Day programme at the open space of Tawau Area Farmers’ Association office in Megah Jaya here yesterday. Also present was the Tawau Umno Youth chief, Ariffin Kassim.

Tajuddin also urged the farmers’ association in each district to work together as one force in leading the farmers towards greater achievements.

At the event, 10 recipients from accross the state received the Young Agropreneur Project Grand Fund from Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority ( Fama) worth about RM160,000, while 27 recipients were provided with Mobile Food Kiosk Aid of RM20,000 each.
