Many activities lined up for ‘Pentas Kesenian Ambang 2018’
BINTULU: Various activities have been lined up for the coming ‘ Pentas Kesenian Ambang 2018’ to be held at Bintulu Civic Centre from Dec 29 to 31.
Sarawak Arts Council ( MSS) Planning and Development officer Easter Melebeh said the highlight of the cultural event is ‘Ratu Ambang 2018’.
Among the activities are battle of the band, acoustic/ busking, karaoke for adult and senior citizens, modern dance and nopeng/ bermukun.
“The winners will receive trophies and cash prizes,” Easter said during the organising committee meeting at Bintulu Resident’s Office yesterday.
For battle of the band, a screening session will start at 2pm while the finals will be held on the evening of Dec 29, starting 8pm.
The acoustic/ busking, karaoke ( senior) and modern dance screening session will start at 8am on Dec 30 followed by the final event on the evening.
A rehearsal for the prize- giving and Ratu Ambang 2018 show will start at 8am the next day, followed by a screening session for the karaoke (adult) at 10am and nopeng/ bermukun and Ratu Ambang 2018 on the evening of Dec 31.
Easter said there will be various singing and cultural performances by local artistes on the evening of New Year eve.
The 3-day event will be organised by Sarawak Arts Council ( MSS) Bintulu in collaboration with Kumpulan Sri Budaya Bintulu, Bintulu Arts Activist and other relevant government agencies.
