The Shirt Bar opens first concept store

-

KUALA LUMPUR: Singaporean brand The Shirt Bar opened its first concept store at Metrojaya Mid Valley Megamall here recently.

High Commissioner of Singapore to Malaysia Vanu Gopala Menon officiated at the exclusive event, which saw members of the media enjoy style ideas and demonstrations of the shirts’ special features by The Shirt Bar founder and CEO Serene Ang.

“Through our decades of experience in designing and manufacturing, we have come to understand what true quality really is in men’s wear. Our work with top international brands has enabled us to distil the learnings of the industry, putting together a concept aimed at emulating the best in the industry and yet filling the existing gaps to better offer consumers what they truly desire – real value,” Ang said in a press release.

“We consistently challenge ourselves to craft products of superior quality and fit, whilst keeping them affordable for our consumers. We know that for guys, fit is everything. Often the Asian man is forgotten, they often find it hard to find a good fit. At The Shirt Bar, we have three fits – Tailored, Classic and Relaxed. Tailored being the perfect fit for the Asian man. But of course, whether you have a perfect body or a body that looks huggable, we have a fit for everyone.”

Ang said The Shirt Bar believes in being in the business of solving men’s problems.

“Starting with a one-stop-shop, selling men’s apparel, we want to help men dress themselves up from head to toe. Our drive to help solve problems for our consumers has also resulted in many technologically advanced fabrics like Spill Resists and Ecool in our collection,” she added.

Vanu Gopala said he is happy with the collaboration and hopes it will be the start of many other Singaporean brands opening in Malaysia.

The Shirt Bar’s concept store showcases a well- curated range from the collection as well as accessories including neckties, bowties, cufflinks, tie clips, belts, suspenders, pocket squares, lapel pins and socks.

Its opening hours are 10am to 10pm daily.
