Fajar International College’s HR diploma programme a hit among school-leavers

-

MIRI: Fajar International College’s Diploma in Human Resource Management ( DHRM) is gaining popularity among local school-leavers.

The increase in students for each intake clearly indicates that the programme meets the demand of the industry and thus, gaining confidence from parents and students alike.

Head of programme Jennifer Joni said the DHRM is designed to train students to deal with and manage human resources at workplace, recruitment and training, human capital development and legal issues, to name a few.

Jennifer is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Human Resource Management (MIHRM). She holds an MBA in Human Capital Management and a Bachelor of Social Science major in Industrial Relations, both from Universiti Malaysia Sabah ( UMS).

According to her, one of the factors that this diploma programme is gaining popularity among school-leavers is because many are aware that people always remains the main factor for an organisation to survive and grow. Thus, how to manage people is a main concern of every company.

“Especially in this highly competitive, dynamic and changing environment, the art of managing people has become a foremost important issue in corporate administration. Business organisations are now realising that employees determine the companies’ success because they are the people working there who individually and collectively contribute to the achievement of the objectives of the business,” she said.

This programme, which is approved by the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE ) and gained full accreditation from the Malaysian Qualifications Agency ( MQA), covers all the basic, necessary and challenging modules in the field of human resource management, such as Business Ethics, Occupational Safety and Health, Recruitment and Selection, Labour Law and many others.

This two- and- a-half year programme will equip students with knowledge and skills needed in carrying out human resource functions like staffing needs, recruiting, training, dealing with performance issues, providing direction for all staff, and ensuring that personnel and management practices would conform to local and international regulations.

The intake for January 2018 session is now in progress. Interested students can call 085644803 or email to query@ kolejfjr. edu.my for further details, or they can also enroll online via www. kolejfajar.edu.my.
