Chen Ling’s Samarahan developments offer buyers a chance to be part of growing suburb
KUCHING: Property developer Chen Ling Development Sdn Bhd’s (Chen Ling) City Garden and Central City projects located in Samarahan are a chance for prospective homebuyers to be part of an upcoming suburb.
According to Kelvin Kang, senior manager at Chen Ling, the Samarahan area, in which their two ongoing development projects are situated, is one of the fastest developing areas in Kuching.
“The locations of the two projects are strategically located nearby to public infrastructure and amenities such as local schools and a university, shopping centres, medical centres, and even a prestigious country club with a sprawling golf course.
“And in time the area will become even populous and bustling as more residents and business are drawn to the fast developing area,” he explained.
Kang also guided that the area is fast gaining popularity due to already- established neighbourhoods from Chen Ling’s past development projects such as The Central Midlands and the completed 13 phases of Central City.
“Our buyers have come from all races so the neighbourhoods are very racially inclusive and additionally, the areas have also all blessed with good environments that are lush with greenery and close to natural elements like the Sarawak River,” he added.
For Chen Ling’s newest project, City Garden, which consists of 16 phases, its first phase is currently at 70 per cent completion with a 90 per cent take-up rate, while its second phase is at 40 per cent completion with a 70 per cent take-up rate.
All units in City Garden’s first and second phases boast of spacious living spaces with five rooms in each unit. Prices in this brand new development range from RM490,000 for terraced double storey units to RM700,000 for semidetached double storey units.
Full completion of the two phases is slated to take place mid-2019, with phase 4 and 6 of the development aimed for launch next year.
Meanwhile, for the group’s Central City development, its phases 10, 14 and 16 are currently under construction and are slated to be completed on schedule and handed off to their respective owners on time.
Phase 17 is currently opened to prospective buyers and the development’s remaining two phases, 15 and 18 are expected to be launched in 2018.
While Chen Ling’s Samarahan developments offer prospective homebuyers an affordable gateway to be part of a rapidly developing suburb, the local developer recognises that suburban life may not be to the taste of every consumer.
“If a more urban lifestyle is more your speed, we are currently planning for a mixed development located in the city area of Kuching, right opposite the upcoming Aeon Mall.
“The project will consist of a vibrant retail and residential mix that aims to redefine apartment living in an urban sanctuary. We aim to begin launching the development in 2018,”added Kang.
