Li Garden Restaurant offers a Chinese New Year reunion meal to remember

KUCHING: Book your family a Chinese New Year reunion meal to remember at Li Garden Restaurant, Hock Lee Centre, and start the New Year with joy in your belly.

Li Garden Restaurant, famous for its Peking duck, will be doing two sets of menus – one for CNY Eve, and the first to third day of CNY; and another set for the fourth day of CNY to Chap Goh Mei. Each set is for a table of 10. The first menu has three price points: Set A at RM638++, Set B at RM738++, and Set C at RM1,499.

Set A comprises the New Year Yee Sang, Four Hot and Cold Deluxe, shark fin soup with crab meat, Teochew- style steamed fish, Si Chuan- style crispy duck, honey pork leg with buns, braised vegetables and mushroom with fa chai, Teochew yam pumpkin cake and sweet mandarins.

Set B starts with the New Year Yee Sang, followed by the special four combinatio­n, shark fin soup with dried scallop and crab meat, Teochew- style steamed fish, eight treasure pork leg, yin yang prawn balls, and braised sea cucumber with mushroom and broccoli. It ends on a sweet note, namely Teochew yam pumpkin cake and sweet mandarins.

At a price point of RM1,499, Set C rolls out the luxury eats – Good Luck Salmon Yee Sang or Special Four Hot and Cold Deluxe, shark fin soup with dried scallop and bamboo fungi, Teochew- style steamed pomfret, whole suckling pig, yin yang fried prawn, braised seafood, yam pumpkin/ seafood noodle, and sweet mandarins.

Prices exclude the six per cent GST.

Those celebratin­g with family and friends between the fourth and 15th day of Chinese New Year, the menu is divided into three price points: Set A at RM438, Set B at RM638 and Set C at RM1,199.

Set B comes with New Year Yee Sang or Four Special Hot and Cold Deluxe, shark fin soup with bamboo fungi, Peking duck in two flavours or Teochew marinated duck, yin yang prawn balls, steamed fish in Teochew style, honey pork leg with buns, braised vegetable with crab meat, and yam pumpkin or braised seafood noodles.

Set C is the Good Luck Salmon Yee Sang or Special Four Hot and Cold Deluxe, shark fin soup with dried scallop and bamboo fungi, Teochew- style steamed pomfret, whole suckling pig, yin yang fried prawn, braised seafood, and yam pumpkin/seafood noodle.

All meals finish with a serving of sweet mandarins.

As Li Garden Restaurant at Hock Lee Centre has limited tables, the management has also booked the SJK Chung Hua No. 3 school hall nearby at Jalan Padungan to accommodat­e more tables.
