Tay Motors, Lucky, Frenz finish on top

KUCHING: Tay Motors won the Tay Motors 195 & Below Trios League in style when they thrashed Frenz 19-1 in the Position Round match at Megalanes Sarawak, Batu Kawa last Sunday night.

The team comprising Jonathan Tchee (captain), Ang Kean Joo, Jackie Ting and the evergreen Robert Lu were in second place and trailing the leaders by 3.20 Peterson points before the match and they turned on the power in the final match against Frenz’s Mohd Fauzi Mohamad, Abang Afiq Syazani Abang Jamalidon, Norhazaidi Tahir, Nor Azzizah Mohamad, Dr Kamarudin Lajim and Abang Jamalidon Abang Ullie to beat them by 12.44 points for the title.

Lucky, who were third in the standings, also capitalise­d on Frenz’s defeat to move into second position after their 13-7 win over Triple X while Frenz had to settle for third place and Triple X dropped one place to fifth position.

The highlight of the week however went to Limi ted Legacy who finished in fourth position compared with their previous standings of seventh place following their impressive performanc­e against Double Trouble 7.

Elite rounded up their campaign in sixth place despite registerin­g a 13-7 win over VC United, who ended up in seventh place.

Meanwhile, Alvin Andrew from Double Trouble 7 held on to win both the Individual High Game and Individual High Series awards with his scores of 274 pins and 888 pins respective­ly.

Abdul Muhaimin Firti of VC United and Norhazaidi Tahir of Frenz weresecond in both categories.

Double Trouble 7 received some consolatio­n after they held on to win the Team High Game award with their effort of 688 pins followed by Frenz in second place.

Frenz, however won the Team High Series award with their effort of 2,409 pins, with Tay Motors coming in second place.

The prize presentati­on ceremony for this league will be held this coming Sunday, which will be followed by the mini- masters event.
