Sheda Home & Property Roadshow 2018 offers special promotions

-

KUCHING: Potential property and house buyers can expect special offers on properties and houses as well as exciting activities at the upcoming Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers’ Association ( Sheda) Kuching Branch Home & Property Roadshow 2018.

The roadshow, which is Sheda Kuching Branch’s first for 2018, will be held from March 16 to 18 on the Ground Floor of Boulevard Shopping Mall, Kuching, from 10am to 9pm.

Visitors will get the chance to meet face-to-face with property developers from Sarawak, Sabah, as well as Peninsular Malaysia, as they showcase their projects during this three-day event.

The process of purchasing a property or a house can also be a daunting task particularly given the possible difficulty of getting financial assistance or a loan.

To ease this process, Sheda Kuching Branch Home & Property Roadshow 2018 is offering members of the public and interested buyers the opportunity to obtain information about their financial status as well financial counseling from representatives of Agensi Kaunseling Pengurusan Kredit (AKPK).

AKPK will be able to provide Central Credit Reference Information System (CCRIS) reports as well as financial counseling on Saturday and Sunday (March 17 and 18), from 10am to 6pm.

“This is a good place for potential buyers to find out their credit ratings on the spot, and to find out if they can qualify for the loan of a property.

“If you have good credit rating, it’s a good time to invest in houses as the market offers good prices for houses now.

“It is also a ‘buyers’ market’ now for medium- cost houses, where buyers can negotiate with developers if they are really interested in purchasing the property,” Sheda Kuching Branch 1st Home & Property Roadshow 2018 organising chairman and Sheda Kuching branch treasurer Dr Richard Tan said.

Meanwhile, he noted, “At this moment, bank loans and lending policies are still slight problems for developers. So far, banks are still strict on their lending guidelines.

“That is a slight challenge for developers because in a lot of cases, purchasers could face challenges in getting a proper amount of loan from banks to purchase a property and when this happens, they would have to come up with more deposit which can be slightly challenging for them, especially for first-time property or home buyers, or newlyweds,” he said.

Therefore, he added, “To facilitate this, Bank Negara Malaysia should relax their policies in terms of loans to be granted to potential property buyers.”

Nevertheless, Tan advised that with AKPK’s representatives offering their financial counseling at Sheda Kuching Branch 1st Home & Property Roadshow 2018, it is a good opportunity for potential buyers to find out their financial status and at the same time, gain financial insights on how to keep their credit rating on a healthy level.

Aside from that, Tan highlighted that potential house buyers can also expect special promotions and offers during the three-day roadshow.

Purchasers who spend a minimum amount of RM1,000 from March 16 to 18, 2018, at any of the booths at the roadshow are eligible for the ‘Buy & Win Lucky Draw’ contest to win exciting prizes.

Tan also noted that Sheda Kuching Branch 1st Home & Property Roadshow 2018 has also invited non- government organisations (NGOs) to participate as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. The NGOs involved are the Sarawak Society for the Deaf and Kuching Autistic Association.

“This roadshow is to help our members to market their products as well as to give the chance for developers to gather and showcase their products in one venue,” he added.

So far, 24 developers have confirmed their booths for Sheda Kuching Branch’s first Home & Property Roadshow for 2018.
