‘Audit report, Felda land documents cannot be disclosed as probes ongoing’

THE forensic audit report on the Kuala Lumpur Vertical City ( KLVC) project on Felda land and 240 documents linked to the audit will not be disclosed as investigations are still ongoing.

Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Razali Ibrahim said all the documents, including the recommendations, might be sought by the police and the Malaysian Anti- Corruption Commission for use as documents in their investigations.

“The audit report cannot be disclosed as investigations are ongoing and we will make sure the related ( KLVC project) issues will not recur by ensuring that all government departments and related agencies comply with the general order,” he said in reply to a supplementary question from Tan Sri Muhyiddin Mohd Yassin ( PPBM-Pagoh) at the Dewan Rakyat yesterday.

“What happened in the Federal Land Development Authority ( Felda) is a huge lesson. I agree we can’t allow this to recur and I can guarantee no department can escape from the actual audit (monitoring),” said Razali.

KLVC is a project being developed by Synergy Promenade Sdn Bhd (SPSB) on Felda’s land that led to a recent controversy.

On March 9, Felda chairman Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad said Felda had legally regained possession of its 16 lots of land in Jalan Semarak here previously registered under the name of SPSB. — Bernama
