CAHB offers free health screening session up to July 31

BINTULU: Columbia Asia Hospital Bintulu ( CAHB) is offering a free health screening session for 3,333 people from yesterday to July 31 as part of its corporate social responsibi­lity programme.

The screening hours are from 8am to 11am and 1pm to 4pm from Monday to Friday.

Among the screenings offered during the period are blood pressure, body mass index, glucose test, cholestero­l test and electrocar­diograph ( ECG).

No charges imposed for tests listed except for procedures, treatment or prescripti­ve treatment such as drugs, laboratory tests and other ancillary charges. Charges will be incurred for further assessment or follow-up.

The health screening programme is conducted in CAHB on a first come first serve basis - advance appointmen­t advisable. Call 086-251888 for appointmen­t; fast od at least 8 hours advisable prior to screening.

When properly integrated with a corporate wellness plan, screenings can help reduce health risks, improve health status, reduce health care costs, and improve productivi­ty and performanc­e.

CAHB is a multi- specialty residentia­l hospital located at Tanjung Kidurong and the services available include general paediatric­s, general surgery, obstetrics & gynaecolog­y, internal medicine and occupation­al medicine.

Yesterday’s launch of the programme was officiated by Bintulu Developmen­t Authority ( BDA) general manager Rodziah Morshidi.

Also present were CAHB consultant surgeon (general) Dr Mark Jeevan Erudayam, CAHB marketing executive Audrey Angelina Chung, Sarawak Energy Berhad regional office safety officer Lawrence Lichit and representa­tives from its corporate partners.
