Stockyard @ Borneo744 to open during GREAT Kuching 2018
KUCHING: Stockyard @ Borneo744, a new creative and hipster eatery, will make its debut during the second edition of GREAT Kuching 2018 on April 14 to 15.
The latest addition to Borneo744 is styled in retro industrial concept and promises a variety of performing arts event, food and beverages outlet, and creative arts market.
Targeting youth entrepreneurs, Stockyard @ Borneo744 is the new centre for creative innovation locally and aims to be the most Instagram-able venue in Sarawak. Gathering of Rising Entrepreneurs, Act Together or simply known as GREAT started in 2014.
GREAT Kuching 2018, a local conference under the Ministry of Finance, Malaysia ( MOF) is an initiative under the National Blue Ocean Strategy ( NBOS) and supported by Malaysian Global Innovation & Creativity Centre ( MaGIC) and Tabung Ekonomi Gagasan Anak Bumiputera Sarawak ( Tegas) to help unleash the untapped entrepreneurial potential in Sarawak.
GREAT Kuching 2018 will be the largest entrepreneurship conference in Sarawak with over 2,000 expected to attend the many entrepreneurship programmes to aid entrepreneurs build, grow and fund the next wave of local startups and social enterprises. The clusters for this year include youth, social and women entrepreneurship, arts and culture, fashion and tourism, and technology.
Among the highlights for GREAT Kuching 2018 will be special performances by two local bands- AT ADAU and MERUKED as well as 1MET 5.0 Entrepreneurship Bootcamp - Blue Ocean Edition, Coding@ School programme, entrepreneurship masterclasses, seminars, workshops and pocket talks, and Only One With Irwan featuring Altimet as the celebrity entrepreneur.
To support local agropreneurs, GREAT Kuching 2018 will be partnering with ‘FAMA My Best Buy’ to offer fresh agricultural products at a very reasonable and competitive prices.
Sarawak Bumiputera Food Truck Association will conduct entrepreneurship masterclass. There will also be 50 marketplace exhibitions of Sarawakian entrepreneurs.
