KUALA PILAH: The Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir will set a date for the swearing-in of the new menteri besar, said Negeri Sembilan Pakatan Harapan ( PH) chairman Aminuddin Harun.

He said Tuanku Muhriz had already given his consent for the party to set up a new state government. “In the two-hour meeting just now, 20 State Legislative Assembly members who won on Wednesday were with him, it was a good and cordial meeting.

During the meeting with Tuanku we discussed issues of state and development that will be brought to Negeri Sembilan,” he said here yesterday.

He was speaking to reporters in the compound of the Istana Seri Menanti, here.

Aminuddin, who is also Negeri Sembilan Parti Keadilan Rakyat ( PKR) chairman, said he had also handed his letter of credential concerning his selection as the 11th mentri besar to Tuanku Muhriz.

In the meantime, Aminuddin, who is also a three-term incumbent in the Sikamat state seat since 2008, said that PH’s leadership line-up would also make a visit to former menteri besar, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan soon to exchange opinions and views. Meanwhile, PH deputy chairman and Negeri Sembilan DAP chairman Anthony Loke Siew Fook said the power transition process went smoothly.

“What is important is that the government needs to be formed immediately and the planning and proceedings of the state government can be continued as usual,” he said. — Bernama
