MIRI: Sarawak Iban Association ( PAIS) recently donated cash to SK Senadin, Miri to help lessen the burden of its underprivileged pupils.

PAIS president Samuel Suring handed over the donation to headmaster James Nibong.

Samuel hoped that the small contribution could help the pupils, especially those from poor and underprivileged families.

“When giving donations to the needy especially to those from the Dayak community, PAIS does not want to marginalise any school children as the aid is given regardless of race or religion.

He added the act of donating to the needy regardless of the amount would help to remind members of the association of their responsibilities to the less fortunate pupils.

“We want to inculcate a sense of responsibility, love and concern among PAIS members for children, especially the disadvantaged children,” he said.

Samuel was accompanied by some members of the PAIS charity committee namely Pauline Panting, Laju Rina, Chrosper Kelly and Kanyan Badali at the cash presentation which was witnessed by the school ParentTeacher Association ( PTA) chairman Linda Jalak.
