Jumbo jet carrying bulk cargo from Germany lands in Bintulu
KUCHING: MAB Kargo Sdn Bhd successfully delivered almost 72 tonnes of bulk cargo on a charter flight originating from Leipzig, Germany to Bintulu on Thursday night.
The flight 7L9203 touched down at Bintulu Airport at 7.30pm on Thursday after a quick transit in Baku, Azerbaijan.
In a statement issued yesterday, MAB Kargo said its team conducted a detailed planning process to prepare the bulky cargo for loading into and unloading from the B747- 400F aircraft.
To support the jumbo jet’s operations in Bintulu Airport, it said ground support equipment were specially brought in from Kuching and Miri airports.

He explained charter flights are ideal for the oil and gas industry as they allow MAB Kargo’s customers to work on their own schedule utilising the most convenient airports.
Over the years, he said MAB Kargo has gained immense experience from coordinating and successfully delivering oil and gas equipment to a number of destinations worldwide.
“We have also handled many types of charters – oil & gas, Grand Prix, concert equipment and livestock movements being the major ones.
