Man, son to remain 100 feet from neighbours until next court hearing
KUCHING: The Sessions Court here yesterday ordered a man and his son to keep a distance of 100 feet from their neighbours pending further mention of their case on July 10 for voluntarily causing hurt.
Zamsuri Tambi, 47, and his son Alif Aidil Abadi, 18, were also ordered by Judge Timothy Finlayson Joel to report themselves to the Gita Police Station on the first Monday on the month starting July 2.
The pair is accused of voluntarily causing hurt to their neighbours – also a father and son – at Jalan Hashim Jaafar here on June 2 this year around 2.20am, by striking them with a sharp weapon and a rock.
They are charged under Section 324 and Section 326 of the Penal Code, both of which carry a jail term, fine and whipping, if convicted.
The court allowed Zamsuri and his son to be released on bail of RM10,000 each with one surety each.
