PETALING JAYA: LG Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd aims to have 30 partnership stores by the end of this year from 25 outlets currently, targeting major cities including Johor Bahru and Kuching, said sales general manager Patrick Seow.

He said the brand already had a few partnership stores in the Klang Valley and will now focused on other cities.

Without disclosing the exact investment figures for the expansion, he said each partnership store would need at least a few hundred thousand ringgit for renovation for the LG Electronics products section.

The company was also seeking new partners for the LG brand stores.

“We are not in a hurry but what is important is to look for the right partners to carry our brand and to grow the business together,” he said.

Seow also expressed confident that the company would maintain last year’s double-digit sales growth this year.

LG Electronics yesterday launched its brand store called Desa Home @ One Space at One City, Subang Jaya.

Its first brand shop in Subang Jaya will house a variety of home entertainment and appliances from the company’s hallmark brands – OLED (organic lightemitting diode) televisions; ultra high-definition, high-definition and light-emitting diode televisions; sound bars; refrigerators; signature washers; and dual cool air conditioners.

Meanwhile Desa Home Managing Director Jack Tan said his store was excited with the collaboration with LG Electronics.

“Whether it be washing machine, OLED TV or sound bar, LG’s products are prevalent in our lives.

“This shows that customers have placed LG at a spot near their hearts, to make their house a home. With this collaboration, we are hoping to be a part of that beautiful image,” he said.

Besides LG, the other brands promoted at Desa Home include Haier, Philips, Sharp and Yamaha. — Bernama
