heavier than normal rainfall, the CMS team has worked tirelessly to ensure the road rehabilitation progress does not slip, and remains ahead of schedule.

“This is even more so given that we had staff on leave for the holiday season, while some going back home to vote.

“The other thing that has to be highlighted is the team’s efforts to ensure that critical stretches of the road were open for the exodus home during Gawai and Hari Raya holidays,” he added.

The next phase will see the CMS team moving heavy machinery to the next area while also laying premix from the KM16.550 to KM21.550-stretch.

During this period, there may be some partial road closures from 9m to 5pm from Jul 4 to 15.

However, CMS has planned to lay the premix on one side of the road at a time thus alleviating congestion as much as possible.
