In stating this, Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Amar Douglas Embas said the Sarawak government was fully aware of the limitation and difficulties faced by teachers in Sarawak and was doing its very best to make sure all children regardless of race get the best education.

Uggah was speaking at an Appreciation Night in conjunction with the Sarawak-level Teachers Day celebration at Tan Sri Kalong Ningkan Hall here Tuesday evening.

“Sarawak government wishes to go on record to thank all teachers who serve in Sarawak for all their contributions to teach our children,” he said.

“Once again, I wish all of you Happy Teachers Day and thank you so much for teaching our children throughout the state with full sincerity and dedication,” he added.
