Busy day for Abang Johari with 7 groups of visitors

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received seven courtesy calls at his office in the State Legislativ­e Assembly ( DUN) Complex in Petra Jaya yesterday.

The first guests were officials from Mutiara Mortgage & Credit which is a subsidiary of Sarawak Housing Developmen­t Commission.

This was followed by visitors from RHB Islamic Bank who handed over business tithe amounting to RM300,000 for the state Baitulmal Fund.

The third group of visitors were officials of the Co- op Bank Persatuan Malaysia.

The fourth group of visitors to call on the Chief Minister comprised organising committee members of Pesta Benak Sri Aman 2018 led by Sri Aman Resident Indit Bangai.

The Chief Minister later received a courtesy call from the ambassador of Denmark to Malaysia Mesper Vahr.

A delegation from the Royal Institutio­n of Surveyors Malaysia was the sixth group to call on the Chief Minister to brief him on the 23rd Pacific Associatio­n of Quantity Surveyors Congress that will be hosted by Kuching next year.

The last courtesy call for the day was from the Kuching South City Council ( MBKS) and Kuching North City Commission ( DBKU) to brief the Chief Minister and invite him to the City Day do next month.

The delegation was led by mayor of Kuching City South Dato James Chan Kay Syn and his counterpar­t from Kuching City North, Datuk Abang Abdul Wahap Abang Julai.
