Young entrepreneurs urged to seize opportunities to succeed
MIRI: Young entrepreneurs must seize any opportunity to gain and develop their businesses by participating in business seminars as learning through experiences of others is crucial to success.
The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sarawak (ACCCIS)’s Young Entrepreneurs Committee second deputy chairman Alex Chia Kah Wei said that young entrepreneurs must get out of their comfort zone in order to gain the much needed experience.
“The difference between the successful entrepreneur and those who had chosen to stay put, is the level of experience they have gained. These are not something money could buy.
“Instead, going out there, meeting people and learn from the experience of the successful people, the challenges they’ve met and overcome, all these are invaluable,” said Chia.
Chia and a delegation of ACCCIS and MCCCI’s Young Entrepreneur Committee members had just returned from the 7th Young Entrepreneur Business Conference held in Kuala Lumpur recently.
The conference on the theme, ‘New Business Model: Key to New Enterprise Development’ was participated by thousands of young entrepreneurs from Malaysia as well as South East Asian countries, China, Korea, Australia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, sharing knowledge, experience and information that aimed to help the young entrepreneurs to better compete in the digital economy.
Chia added that participating in the conference was an eyeopening as there were many self-established successful young entrepreneurs who shared their experience despite the competitive digital economic market.
“We are learning from these successful people, and hopefully to share the important information with the local young entrepreneurs here and we shall work together to be better,” said Chia.
