Chong appoints lawyer as special assistant

KUCHING: Pakatan Harapan Sarawak chairman Chong Chieng Jen has appointed a lawyer Sim Kiat Leng as his special assistant.

According to Chong, the practising lawyer will be his new special assistant to help him serve his Stampin parliamentary area and Kota Sentosa state constituency. Chong, whois Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism, said Sim’s appointment will help him service his constituents better.

“He ( Sim) will go around my areas to take care of the needs of the people just like Abdul Aziz Isa and Christina Chew. I hope with a new special assistant, I can help the people in my area better,” added Chong during a press conference held at the state Democratic Action Party headquarters yesterday.

Sim was also present during the press conference together with Bandar Kuching MP Dr Kelvin Yii and state DAP vice chairman Leon Jimat Donald. Chong also commented that those in his area who needs assistance from him can also contact Sim at the number 016- 4262210.
