Maritime Silk Road Kuala Lumpur to feature 100 internatio­nal booths

KUALA LUMPUR: The Fujian Huiyuan Internatio­nal Exhibition Co Ltd will be hosting the Maritime Silk Road Kuala Lumpur exhibition from Dec 13 to 16 this year, featuring about 100 internatio­nal exhibitors.

In a statement yesterday, the company said most of the exhibitors are the qualified attendees of China’s Canton Fair, one of the world’s largest fairs.

“It will be held concurrent­ly with the Internatio­nal Branding Showcase and Zhejiang Export Fair, serving as the trading and economic platform for Fujian and Malaysia together with other Asean countries,” it added.

The company said this year’s show would focus on gifts and consumer goods, further exploring the specialise­d industry, with accurately aimed buyer invitation­s, so as to cultivate the industry by matching exhibitors and buyers. In addition, there would be electronic appliances, machinery, textiles and clothing, footwear household products and food and tea as the supplement­ary.

The company said Malaysia and Fujian keep a very close economic relationsh­ips, as reflected by Malaysia’s position as Fujian’s third largest trading partner among Asean countries.

The event will be sponsored by the Fujian Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export. — Bernama
