SIBU: The Technical Vocational Education and Training ( TVET) has produced competent work force in the various industries.

According to senior director ( Competency) Community College & Polytechnic Education Department, Ministry of Education Dr Rashahidi @ Rusdi Mohamood, based on statistics released until March 2018, Mukah Polytechnic achieved marketable graduates up to 92.3 percent.

“This is an outstanding achievement and the ministry will strive harder so that we can achieve 100 percent graduate marketability,” he said when speaking at the 11th Mukah Polytechnic Convocation Ceremony held in Mukah on Saturday.

Rashahidi advised the graduands not to totally depend on acquiring jobs after their graduation.

“Instead, with the training and experience that they had gained from TVET at Mukah Polytechnic, they can become entrepreneurs in their respective specialist field,” he pointed out.

Meanwhile, the director of Mukah Polytechnic Abdubrani Yunus urged the graduands not to stop learning by taking the initiative to acquire more knowledge to add value to their marketability.

A total of 918 graduates received their Diplomas at the convocation ceremony.
