SDC collaborates with KRT in clean-up campaign

SARIKEI: Jalan Teruntum Neighbourhood (KRT) Committee in collaboration with Sarikei District Council ( SDC) held a clean-up campaign as part of Gotong Royong Mega Programme 2018

Residents in the area were requested to clean their respective compounds and stacked their unused items for disposal several days before the collection date.

The campaign aimed to emphasise the importance of keeping compounds clean particularly in the fight against dengue.

It culminated last Saturday with the clean-up around the neighbourhood to rid all Aedes mosquitoes breeding grounds

SDC assigned staff members to help during the campaign, provided tools as well as a lorry to collect the unused items and rubbish for disposal.

Among those present was the KRT chairman Hajmi Sahran.
