Unimap venue for 2020 World Woodball Championship

CHIANG MAI, Thailand: Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) has been chosen as the venue for the 2020 World Cup Woodball Championship (WCWC).

UniMAP Vice-Chancellor Prof Datuk Dr Zul Azhar Zahid Jamal said the university was chosen because it had a course with 36 fairways, the most number in Malaysia.

“The course for the championship can be used until evening as it is equipped with flood lights,”he told reporters at the 2018 WCWC at the Asian Woodball Training Centre, Chiang Dao here. He said UniMAP had previously hosted the championship at the international level including the First Asian University Woodball Championship and Fourth World Cup University Woodball Championship.
