Ignore unwarranted criticisms, PBB Batu Kawah members advised

-

KUCHING: Members of Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu ( PBB), especially those at its Batu Kawah branch, are advised to never be hesitant in being kind to others.

PBB Batu Kawah chief Datuk Ahmad Ibrahim said even in facing many challenges and negative criticisms, party members must not see these things as obstacles for them to do good deeds.

He felt that as long as they believe that they have good conscience and what they do would bring benefits to the people, PBB Batu Kawah members should not pay attention to unwarranted criticisms.

In making his point, Ahmad spoke about a Malay proverb: ‘ When we plant paddy, weeds grow along it. But when we plant weeds, there’s no paddy growing with them’.

“When we do good ( things), sometimes certain misfortunes happen. But always remember – when we do bad things, there’s nothing good that follows suit.

“My friends – never stop doing good ( things),” he said in his opening remarks for the PBB Batu Kawah bowling tournament at Megalane eMart Batu Kawah here yesterday, which was run by the Bumiputera Welfare Association Batu Kawah.

Twenty- four teams from the PBB Batu Kawah and those from Batu Kawah, Batu Kitang and Kota Sentosa constituencies took part.

Adding on, Ahmad expressed his hope for more PBB and Sarawak United National Youth Organisation ( Saberkas) units, as well as village associations in Stampin parliamentary constituency to organise and hold activities meant to engage more youths, so that they would have a better understanding, in agreement and support the leadership of PBB, as well as the ruling coalition, Gabungan Parti Sarawak ( GPS).

“I hope that we, especially those in PBB, would continue to uphold this good relationship with the youths through activities like a bowling tournament, because these are the kind of activities that can engage the youths,” he said.
