YMM Padungan hopes to raise RM20,000 from charity run

KUCHING: The Youth Movement Malaysia ( YMM) Padungan branch will host a charity run this Oct 21.

The ‘ YMM Cat Run 3.0’ is scheduled for flag- off at 6am, with the route to begin and end at Kuching South City Council ( MBKS) building.

Proceeds from the event will be donated to Hope Place Kuching.

YMM Padungan hopes to raise around RM20,000 from the run and in this regard, it appeals to the public to support this charity run.

There are three categories for the runners – the 10km, 5km and 3km, with registrati­on fees of RM55, RM50 and RM45, respective­ly.

Registrati­on closes this Sept 30. Forms can be obtained from Brooks at Green Heights Mall.

Hope Place Kuching can be reached via hotline 013- 5672775 or 082- 505987 from 8.30am to noon, and 2pm to 5pm, Mondays to Fridays; while on Saturdays, the lines are open from 9am to noon only.

Hope Place carries out aid deliveries once every three months due to the number of families on its list of recipients. The nongovernm­ental organisati­on currently supports over 180 families.

Members of the public interested to make donations are advised to request for receipts from the staff at Hope Place.
