KOTA SAMARAHAN: Bank Simpanan Nasional ( BSN) launched its latest BSN Banking Agent ( EB BSN) programme at Farley Supermarket here on Saturday night amidst exciting activities, including a Miss Farley beauty pageant.

The EB BSNs are specially appointed by the bank to offer customers access to its banking services.

These agents mainly operate at business premises such as sundry and telecommunications shops, and even petrol stations within residential areas.

This is especially helpful when it comes to remote or rural areas with little access to banking services.

The EB BSN counter at Farley opens from 8.50am to 9pm daily.

Present to officiate at the ceremony yesterday was Samarahan District Council (SDC) Walikota Datuk Peter Minos.

In his speech, Minos welcomed the efforts by Farley Supermarket in bringing more excitements and culture to Kota Samarahan, making it a more liveable town.

“Not a lot of private sector groups want to spend money on this. With this Miss Farley competition, you also brought in the beauty of many races to one place,” said the walikota, who was accompanied by his wife Datin Emy Minos.

Farley Group chairman Lau Siew Whye and director Eiseng Lau, together with BSN Sarawak head of operations Harjimi Bojeng were also present.

Meanwhile, the Miss Farley was open to any single woman aged between 16 and 28 years old, who stands at least 150cm tall. According to organisers, they received 50 entries, but only 20 of them made it to the finals on Saturday night.

Ultimately, the title was won by 17-year- old Jzjoanaskki Enni Jugah Bala, who took home the grand prize of a RM1,000 Farley cash voucher, a BSN Premium Savings Certificate ( SSP) worth RM500 and a hamper.

Isfa Natasha Jeman placed fi rst runner-up, which earned her a RM800 Farley cash voucher, a BSN SSP worth RM400 and a hamper.

The second runner-up was Easter Jawai Paul, who took home a RM500 Farley cash voucher, a BSN SSP worth RM300 and a hamper.

In the subsidiary title categories, Ghairunissa Ahmad Nizam was named ‘ Miss Personality’, while Alexandra Babra Entasih was named ‘Miss Favourite’.
