Chinese associations keen on enhancing ties with China
MIRI: The Federation of Miri Division Chinese Associations Sarawak looks forward to further enhancing the existing good network with China in various fields for mutual benefits.
According to their president Hii Teck Yun, since the Chinese Consulate General office was set up in Kuching, it had provided friendly services to the Chinese community in Sarawak.

“Apart from that, the Chinese Consulate General is always there to support and assist the Chinese community in the aspects of culture and education promotion in the state,” he said during a dialogue session between the federation and the new Consul General Cheng Guangzhong at Pullman Miri Waterfront Hotel yesterday.
Hii said the federation will look into opportunities where member associations could benefit from China’s global trade ‘One Belt, One Road’ initiative.
Meanwhile, Cheng assured that he was committed to further enhancing the existing bilateral ties between China and Sarawak government.
Also present at the dialogue session was Miri mayor Adam Yii.
