900 members of Sibu Foochow Association participate in two-day sports carnival
SIBU: Some 900 members of Sibu Foochow Association took part in a two- day sports carnival here during the weekend.
Various activities including table tennis, marathon, badminton, basketball, bowling and volleyball competitions were held throughout the two days.
According to Sibu Foochow Association chairman Ying Tieng Chai, the event aimed to further strengthen the unity among members of the association.
“It also aims to encourage them to practise a healthy lifestyle through active participation in sports and other recreational activities,” he said when met prior to the f lag- off of the marathon event at Permai Lake Garden yesterday.
