KTS Trading holds service campaign for Suzuki 4-stroke outboard engines
It saves me about 40 per cent in fuel compared to the 2-stroke engine. Anai, Suzuki outboard engine user
BINTULU: KTS Trading Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s sole distributor of Suzuki 4- stroke outboard engines, recently organised a service campaign at ABF Fish Market here.
The campaign aimed to enhance the relationship between Suzuki outboard engine users and distributors while at the same time raising the brand awareness of Suzuki.
During the campaign, basic maintenance was carried out for Suzuki 4- stroke outboard engine users without any charge, while those who required spare parts were given large discounts.
Refreshments were also provided while staff explained the advantages of the Suzuki 4- stroke outboard engine, which has remarkable engine performance and is also fuelsaving and quiet.
One of the most popular models of Suzuki’s 4- stroke outboard engine, the DF140A, was also showcased to the public during the campaign.
Known for its perfect balance between performance and design, fuel efficiency and reliability, the DF140A utilises a DOHC 16-valve high power output engine and is also equipped with Suzuki lean burn control system, timing chain and multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection.
Suzuki lean burn control system predicts fuel needs according to operating conditions, providing significant improvements in fuel economy.
Another first-in- the-world achievement for Suzuki is equipping its 4- stroke outboard engine with self-adjusting timing chain that does not need any maintenance at all, thus saving on maintenance fees.
Multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection monitors vital operating data gathered from a series of sensors that automatically calculates the optimum amount of fuel to be injected.
Benefits include faster acceleration, crisp throttle response, maximum fuel economy and quick, reliable starts.
A Suzuki outboard engine user, known only known as Anai, said he has been involved in fishing activities for the past 40 years.
“I first used the Suzuki outboard engine in 1980. For the past four months, I have been going fishing up to 30 to 40 nautical miles off Bintulu waters using two units of Suzuki 4-stroke DF140A outboard engine on my 35-foot boat.
“It saves me about 40 per cent in fuel compared to the 2- stroke engine,” he said when met during the service campaign.
