Samsung wins three awards during Putra Brand Awards 2018

KUCHING: Samsung Malaysia Electronic­s’ committmen­t to providing unparallel­ed devices and services to consumers has earned two esteemed gold awards under the ‘ Communicat­ions Devices’ and ‘Camera, IT and Office & Business Equipment’ categories at the 2018 Putra Brands Awards.

Moreover, Samsung took home a silver award for its contributi­on to ‘ Personal, Household & Outdoor Appliances’ segment, the group said in a statement.

“We have been putting in immense efforts to creating, providing, and adding value to our consumers’ lives. Being recognised for our efforts at the Putra Brand Awards has motivated and humbled us at the same time.

“We promise to keep up what we have been doing and continue to provide innovative technologi­es that will help our consumers break through barriers and do things they never thought were possible,” Samsung Malaysia Electronic­s president Kim Yoonsoo was quoted as saying.

Apart from the three awards, Samsung also won ‘2018 Marketer of the Year’ at the Putra Brand Awards, in acknowledg­ment of Samsung’s brand philosophy over the past year.

“This achievemen­t is definitely one that we are extremely proud of. We take pride in creating meaningful and relevant campaigns, tying our innovative products to purposeful stories that are happening around us. “Our focus moving forward is to continue being better in our engagement with our consumers and ensuring that these relationsh­ips are upheld,” added Kim.

The Putra Brand Awards is an annual premier brand awards event in Malaysia.

Launched in 2010 by the Associat ion of Accredited Advertisin­g Agents Malaysia (4As) in associatio­n with the Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands ( MMVB), it recognises brand building as an integral business i nv e s tme nt , me a sured by consumer preference.

In determinin­g its winners, the Putra Brand Awards uti l ises a robust consumer research method in which 6,000 consumers vote for their favourite brands within multiple categories, therefore e s t abl i shi ng Mal ays i an consumers themselves as the judges and award- givers of this distinguis­hed event.
