Dine to make lanterns for cash prizes

KUCH­ING: Joy-I Palace, a Chi­nese restau­rant here is hold­ing a DIY Lantern con­test for Chi­nese New Year 2019 start­ing yes­ter­day.

To par­tic­i­pate, just spend min­i­mum RM30 and above in a sin­gle re­ceipt at the restau­rant lo­cated at SL 1-7, Jalan Pe­tanak, No­tion Hori­zon Block D.

One re­ceipt is en­ti­tled to one sub­mis­sion with each par­tic­i­pant al­lowed one en­try. The con­test is open to any­one aged seven and above, ex­cept the or­gan­is­ers, af­fil­i­ates or re­lated com­pa­nies.

Regis­tra­tion started yes­ter­day un­til Dec 1 and sub­mis­sion must be made by Dec 15 to the organiser’s ser­vice counter.

Vot­ing starts from Dec 16-31 with prize giv­ing to be held in Jan­uary next year.

The size of each lantern should be 38cm (length) and 68cm (height) with max­i­mum weight of 2kg.

Any en­try which does not con­form to the re­quired size will be dis­qual­i­fied.

The grand prize is RM1,500 cash with RM800 and RM500 for the first and sec­ond run­ners-up re­spec­tively. Three con­so­la­tion prize win­ners stand to win RM100 voucher each.

Joy-I Palace is lo­cated in Jalan Pe­tanak, Ground Floor, Wisma Na­tion Hori­zon. It opens from 11am to 11pm daily.
