Dine to make lanterns for cash prizes
KUCHING: Joy-I Palace, a Chinese restaurant here is holding a DIY Lantern contest for Chinese New Year 2019 starting yesterday.
To participate, just spend minimum RM30 and above in a single receipt at the restaurant located at SL 1-7, Jalan Petanak, Notion Horizon Block D.
One receipt is entitled to one submission with each participant allowed one entry. The contest is open to anyone aged seven and above, except the organisers, affiliates or related companies.
Registration started yesterday until Dec 1 and submission must be made by Dec 15 to the organiser’s service counter.
Voting starts from Dec 16-31 with prize giving to be held in January next year.
The size of each lantern should be 38cm (length) and 68cm (height) with maximum weight of 2kg.
Any entry which does not conform to the required size will be disqualified.
The grand prize is RM1,500 cash with RM800 and RM500 for the first and second runners-up respectively. Three consolation prize winners stand to win RM100 voucher each.
Joy-I Palace is located in Jalan Petanak, Ground Floor, Wisma Nation Horizon. It opens from 11am to 11pm daily.
