Toastmasters attend Pathways workshop
BINTULU: A workshop on Pathways, a new education programme of Toastmasters International was conducted by Toastmaster Lisa Chee on Sunday.
Members of Bintulu Toastmasters Club, Mandarin Bintulu Toastmasters Club, Bintulu Foochow Toastmasters Club and Bintulu Speakers Club attended the workshop by Chee who is also Division E director.
Chee explained that the programme launched in Bintulu last July is a new and improved education programme designed to build competencies needed to communicate and lead.
“There are currently 10 specialised learning paths to choose from, such as dynamic leadership, effective coaching, motivational strategies, leadership development, innovative planning, persuasive influence, presentation mastery, strategic relationships, team collaboration, and visionary communication,” she said.
According to Chee, these learning paths provide the opportunity to build up to 300 unique competencies and the programme content online is accessible anytime, anywhere.
“It develops real world, transferable skills and is available in English, simplified Chinese, traditional Chinese and also other languages such as Arabic, French, German, Japanese and Portuguese,” Chee added.
During the interactive workshop, participants learnt about Pathways programme, how to enrol and access educational materials.
