Construction worker injured when wall collapses on him
KUCHING: A construction worker was injured on both his legs and back after he was struck by debris from a wall structure of an old teacher’s quarters he was demolishing at SK Pajar Sejingkat here yesterday.
Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) spokesperson said a team of firefighters from the Padungan station headed by Patrick Mawang was rushed to the location after it received a distress call at 10.42am.
Upon arrival at the scene, firefighters found the 22-yearold man with the injuries when the wall collapsed on him in the 10.30am incident.
The victim was given initial treatment at the scene and later taken to the Sarawak General Hospital.
