Driver unhurt as car overturns near Civic Centre

BINTULU: A motorist was fortunate not to have been injured after his car overturned onto its roof during an accident on Tuesday night.

The 36-year- old was travelling alone when the incident happened along Jalan Tun Ahmad Zaidi, not far from the Civic Centre.

Personnel from the Fire and Rescue Department ( Bomba) spotted the overturned car while passing by the area and stopped to render assistance.

They discovered that the driver had managed to crawl out of his overturned vehicle and helped to send him to Bintulu Hospital for a precautionary checkup.
