KUCHING: It was a proud moment for 345 graduands of SEGi College Sarawak when they received their scrolls at the 2018 Convocation Ceremony of the college here yesterday.

The ceremony also conferred and honoured 25 First Class high achievers in their respective fields of study.

In his speech at the convocation ceremony held at one of the international hotels here, SEGi College Sarawak chief executive Datu Putit Matzen said the convocation is a transition point for all of the graduands.

But, know this, your journey does not stop here! It will not end until you feel fully confident of meeting life’s uncertainties and challenges – embracing successes and failures with a positive attitude,” he advised.

Yesterday’s convocation was also a memorable day for parents, partners, families and friends.

“Without the support of those nearest to us, this proud achievement could not be earned. Your belief in and support for our students have enabled their success. The life values instilled have also helped the graduands – giving them support during challenging moments in the pursuit of knowledge. Indeed, you are also a special part of this celebration!

“Today, you join the generations of SEGi’s men and women who provide service around the world in every field of human endeavour. You are already awakened to the realities of intense competition and acquired capacity to take advantage of competitive environment,” Putit added.
