DMS Kuching holds Info Day on overseas further studies

KUCHING: Daniel Management Service ( DMS) Kuching, an overseas education agent, is holding an Info Day starting today and tomorrow ( Nov 16) at its office at ICOM Square in Pending here from 1pm to 5.30pm.

Its role is to give advice and information on applications and scholarships in the Arts, Design and Performing Arts and focuses only on institutions offering specialist degree and diploma programmes.

DMS in a press release said it has chosen 15 unique institutions around the world providing teaching and learning in career areas which have a high demand internationally.

According to DMS, the universities and colleges are government-funded institutions in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore and United Kingdom and it is familiar with professional requirements and the recognition of specialist degrees such as Medicine, Law or Pharmacy in Malaysia or in Singapore.

With up to 30 years of experience in student education counselling, career advice and working overseas, DMS Kuching also enjoys helping younger people find their talent and encourage them to venture into unique fields where they can be leaders.

The fields of study are Visual and Fine Arts, Animation and Games Design, Creative Writing, Dance, Drama and Theatre, Industrial Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Digital Media, Fashion, Film and TV, Graphic Design, Music, Performing Arts, Photography, Technical Production and Arts Management.

Meanwhile, the LASALLE College of The Arts, Singapore’s only dedicated contemporary arts college offers government funded places for Malaysian applicants.

These partial scholarships apply to both their diplomas and undergraduate degrees. These funded places are available on a first- come first- served basis for the 2019 intake and applications should be submitted through DMS as soon as possible.

Partial scholarships are available in Australia and New Zealand colleges and universities. These scholarships may be a one- off merit scholarship, or an annually renewable scholarship based on academic achievements. As deadlines to apply for the 2019 scholarships are fast approaching, those interested are advised to visit DMS Kuching office.
