-

BINTANGOR: Anglican Christians in Bintangor have every reason to rejoice as their prayer to have a new church had been answered after construction of the town’s new St James Anglican Church building was completed recently.

The project was completed thanks to the great effort put in by the Church’s Parish Council Committee, followers and members of the public who had contributed towards the building fund.

The committee also expressed its gratitude to Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kuong Hiing who had allocated a substantial amount of his Rural Transformation Project ( RTP) fund to ensure the project was carried out.

Bishop of Kuching and Brunei Right Reverend Danald Jute was invited to perform the blessing ceremony on the church.

Among those present were Reverend Father Rentap Nuang, Chief Registrar of Sarawak Bumiputera Court Datu Michael Dawi Alli and director of Other Religious Affairs Unit ( Unifor) of the Chief Minister’s Office Datu Dr Ngenang Jangu.
