Malaysian shuttlers advance at junior c’ship
KUALA LUMPUR: The 2015 world junior champion Goh Jin Wei led the country’s charge into the third round of the 2018 World Junior Badminton Championships in Markham, Canada on Tuesday ( Wednesday in Malaysia).
Third seeded Jin Wei only took 19 minute to demolish Sania Lima of Brazil 21- 8, 21- 6 in the second round match of the girls’ singles, according to Badminton World Federation on their website, www. bwfbadminton.com.
Rising young shuttler Aidil Sholeh Ali Sadikin also made short work of Adam Pringle by whipping the Scottish 21- 6 and 21-7 in just 17 minute.
His teammate, Ng Tze Yong also made it to the next round by edging Jonas Osthassel of Denmark; 21-10 and 21-7 in another second round match. — Bernama
