Eight in family unhurt as fire guts home
MIRI: A family of eight was made homeless when their house in Kampung Sealine here was razed on Sunday.
No injuries were reported in the incident, which happened around 5.30pm.
A Fire and Rescue Department ( Bomba) spokesperson said the blaze completely destroyed the two- storey structure but did not spread to other nearby houses.
“A total of 18 personnel from the Lopeng and Miri fire stations were dispatched to the scene. The fire was put out at 6.15pm, with no reports of injuries received,” said the spokesperson.
Total loss is yet to be ascertained, with the cause of the fire being investigated.
