Thai envoy to visit Sarawak with six-member delegation

KUCHING: The Thai ambassador to Malaysia, Narong Sasitorn will lead a six-member delegation to Sarawak to further explore potentials in bilateral collaborat­ion.

Asean- China Entreprene­urs Associatio­n first vice president, Michael Liong said during the two- day visit from tomorrow, the delegation would look into ways to strengthen ties between Thailand and Malaysia, especially with Sarawak.

“This is the first working visit of the Thai ambassador ( Narong Sasitorn) to Kuching.

“The delegation members are keen to explore other potentials to tap, besides collaborat­ions in the tourism and manufactur­ing sectors,” he told Bernama here yesterday.

He said the Thai delegation would also make courtesy calls on Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri, Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud and Chief Minister, Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Abang Openg on Thursday. They will also visit various places of interest here. — Bernama
