Saberkas Nangka 70-strong contingent marches at Youth Day celebration

SIBU: Sarawak United National Youth Organisation ( Saberkas) Nangka branch here sent a 70member contingent to a footdrill event held in conjunction with Sarawak Youth Day 2018 celebration at Sibu Indoor Stadium on Sunday.

Saberkas Nangka secretary Mohd Safree Mohd Kassim said the branch members also took part in various other activities at the event.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated at the ceremony, witnessed by his wife Datin Patinggi Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang and Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah – who is also Saberkas deputy president.

According to Mohd Safree, membership cards were also issued that day.

Some 5,000 youths from various backgrounds took part in Sarawak Youth Day 2018 celebration, organised and run by Ministry of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports.
