Malindo Air enhances booking experience with dynamic currency convertion service

-

PETALING JAYA: Malindo Air, together with their e-commerce partner - Monex, have introduced Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) service on Malindo Air’s internet booking engine (IBE).

The DCC service will enable customers to lock in a competitive exchange rate offered by Malindo Air at the time of the transaction, according to customer’s card currency.

In the payment page, when “Credit, Charge or Debit Card” payment option is selected with card information fill-out, customers can choose to pay with original fare currency or card currency.

For payment based on card currency, the converted amount will be reflected, which will be the same amount charged to the card. The conversion supported 6 different currencies, including the ringgit, Singaporean dollar, US dollar, Australian dollar, Thai baht and Hong Kong dollar.

Chandran Rama Muthy, chief executive officer of Malindo Air said, “We are pleased to offer this new feature, which is part of our continuous effort to provide seamless customers’ experience through digital.

“Averagely, there are more than 60 per cent of our bookings from IBE, and this feature will come in handy to customers who book tickets using foreign cards/currencies from the city of departure. Our partnership with Monex keeps us competitive in the industry and we look forward to more innovative features to enhance customers’ experience.”

“Monex is delighted to partner with Malindo, the most innovative and exciting airline in Malaysia” said Martin Smith, Commercial Director, Monex. Smith continues “With this new product, Malindo’s passengers will benefit from the ability to pay for their air tickets online in their own home currency.” — Bernama
