Celebrate joys of the season at Discover Miri

MIRI: Locals and visitors to Miri can soak up some Christmas cheer while enjoying delicious local cuisine during the month-long Discover Miri event at Eastwood Valley Golf and Country Club.

The event, to run from this Friday ( Dec 7) until Jan 6 next year, will transform the venue into a wonderland filled with enchanting dinosaurs, bright lights and artificial snow, Christmas decorations, great food as well as endless performances.

Organiser X Dream Event in a statement yesterday said the event aims to lure more visitors to Miri, and is also perfect for family and friends to celebrate the joys of the season.

“The idea of using ‘ Discover Miri’ as event name is to promote Visit Miri Year (VMY) 2018 whose theme is ‘Discover Miri, Uniquely Borneo’.

“With these unique attractions and programme, this event will definitely attract tourists and Bruneians to visit the city, thus bringing them joy and wonder under the twinkle of a million lights.

“It also promotes Miri as a liveable resort city and boosts the tourism sector,” said the statement.

The event is supported by Sarawak Tourism Board ( STB) and Miri City Council (MCC).

Massive dinosaur displays await visitors at Discover Miri.

‘Starlight Castle’ is among the features at the event.

Visitors will be able to take a stroll along the ‘Wonder Tunnel’ at the event.
