Meet MMU reps at EduQuest Education Fair
KUCHING: Multimedia University ( MMU) representatives will be on hand to speak with parents and prospective students during EduQuest Education Fair on Dec 12 at Pullman Hotel Kuching and Hotel Seri Simanggang Hotel, Sri Aman on Dec 13, from 1pm to 5pm.
Established in 1997, MMU was the first private education institution in Malaysia to be awarded “University” status. A study by Gartner and MSC Malaysia found MMU as the top five universities preferred by major ICT companies for graduate employment - a testament to the quality of its academicians, curriculum and student development programmes.
It is ranked as Top 200 University in QS Asia University Rankings 2018. An average of 97 per cent of its graduates secured employment within six months of completing their studies.
Students looking at further studies in foundation, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Engineering, Information & Communication Technology, Creative Multimedia, Cinematic Arts, Business & Management, Finance, Accounting, Law, Life Science, and Strategic Communication, are welcomed at MMU.
Originally known as Universiti Telekom, MMU has seen more than 52,000 graduates with about 18,000 current students in its three campuses at Melaka, Cyberjaya and Nusajaya (Johor) including 1,500 international students from 70 countries.
MMU collaborates with industry players including ZTE, Nokia, Dell, Intel, Microsoft, Cisco and Motorola to ensure students become innovators. In line with this vision of MMU 3.0 i-University, the Research Management Centre ( RMC), Centre of Innovation & Collaboration (CIC), Entrepreneur Development Centre ( EDC) under MMU Research & Innovation Division was established to inculcate research, innovation and entrepreneurial culture amongst students and staff.
