Thanksgivi­ng-cum-Christmas dinner celebrates achievemen­ts of KBCS

KUCHING: Konsortium Bumi Consultant­s & Services Sdn Bhd ( KBCS) held a Thanksgivi­ng and Christmas dinner at Imperial Hotel here recently.

KBCS also celebrated its managing director being conferred with Panglima Setia Bintang Sarawak which carries the title ‘ Dato’ from Head of State in October. Dato Ir. Janang Bungsu also received Sarawak State Entreprene­ur Of The Year Award 2018, Master Entreprene­ur in November.

The guest- of- honour Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar James Jemut Masing who is PRS president congratula­ted Janang and the board of directors for their achievemen­ts.

He emphasised the importance of being prudent in managing the organisati­on as shown by the success of KBCS.

Meanwhile, Janang hoped that KB Group of Companies can be a major constructi­on industry player in the state’s biggest developmen­t budget announced recently.

He took the opportunit­y to acknowledg­e the tireless effort and comradeshi­p of his founding partners Ar. David Hollis and Ir. David Sengalang.

At the event, the company also rewarded 12 long serving staff with a gold pendant worth RM1,000 each.

Children of staff who achieved academic excellence were also rewarded.

The highlight was ‘ The biggest loser challenge’ which encouraged staff to live a healthy lifestyle.

KBCS also donated RM5,000 to Gempuru Besai, RM5,000 to IRM Evangelica­l Berhad, RM1,000 to IRM Outreach Point RM1,000 and school bags and stationery to children of factory workers fellowship.

Also present were PRS deputy president Datuk Salang Gandum, deputy speaker Dato Gerawat Gala, Assistant Minister of Youth and Sports Sarawak Datuk Snowdan Lawan, Layar assemblyma­n Gerald Rentap Jabu and Pelagus assemblyma­n Wilson Nyambung.
