Areca Capital opens Kuching branch

ARECA Capital Sdn Bhd (Areca Capital) strengthen­ed its branch footprint in East Malaysia with the opening of its Kuching Branch yesterday, as part of the Company’s long-term plan to meet the increasing demand for asset and wealth management solutions, especially from high net worth individual­s.

Speaking to Borneo Post after the opening, Areca Capital chief executive officer Danny Wong said, “The Kuching branch is part of our expansion plan to provide the local community an easy access to investment solutions and we are excited to bring our model of cost-effective, efficient, flexible investment and financial advisory to the East Malaysian market.”

Areca Capital’s Kuching branch is located on the first floor, Sublot 3, Lot 7998, Block 16, KCLD, Cha Yi Goldland, Jalan Tun Jugah/ Stutong.

It is headed by Lee Khee Chuan, a qualified and experience­d financial adviser, who is a chartered financal consultant, chartered life underwrite­r and a fellow of Life Management Institute with 23 years experience in the financial services industry.

As a niche private wealth manager, Areca Capital is licensed by the Securities Commission Malaysia to manage and distribute Unit Trust Funds, private client investment portfolios and provide financial planning.

Since Areca Capital’s inception in 2006, the Company has built a reputation as an innovative and high performing fund manager.

The company’s maiden fund, Areca equityTRUS­T Fund has won the annual The Edge/Thomson Reuters Lipper Fund Awards 2018 under “Equity Malaysia” for the 3 years, 5 years and 10 years category.
